Tucked in the farthest north corner of Vista Ridge lies this great home at 2160 Mountain Iris Drive. It is a three bedroom, three bathroom home with 2039 square feet of above ground living space, an unfinished basement, a two car garage and a decent outdoor space. The main floor is quite unique with the kitchen and dining room right off the front of the home; this utilizes the great morning light that the front bay window possesses. The kitchen needs some updating, but nothing is terribly wrong, and the open space leads into an awesome living room that is great for entertaining. Lastly on the main floor, lies the Master Bedroom. The master bedroom is expansive and has an awesome en suite that will please most owners, but one of the best features of the room is also one of its most glaring weaknesses… It has an entire wall of windows that lets in a great amount of natural light, but it directly faces the backyards and windows of several other houses, all but killing the sense of privacy.
The one attribute that could hinder the sale of this home the most is that the Master Bedroom’s lack of privacy from the huge open windows will put off some potential buyers, as will its location in the floor plan right off the main living room.
I believe that this home offers up a great value for Vista Ridge because it is the only home under the $400,000 mark that isn’t in the sardine can of Latitude. This home has both room to grow inside, and room to play outside, which Latitude lacks. Those who need both would serve well to come here!
This home is very charming. I love the way it is laid out and the overall feel of the home is fantastic. The Master Bedroom’s privacy issue can be remedied with some clever window coverings, albeit at the expense of the wonderful light. Overall though, the home is in great condition and will make an awesome home for a growing family, or an older couple who would love to have a main floor master and a great upstairs guest wing.
